A new way of diapering!

Hello everyone! I am starting this blog to reach out to others out there who do cloth diapers. I have a little girl who is 6 months old and I use cloth diapers. Right before my daughter was born I spent a small fortune on cloth diapers (Bum Genius, Fuzzy Bunz, Applecheeks, Flip, prefolds, etc.). I was a little disappointed in the amount I had to spend to get the diapers. I mean, after all, the reason I chose cloth was to save money (and help the environment but that wasn't my prime motive).
It wasn't until about 2 months ago that I realized that I could make cloth diapers very similar (but not too similar) to what I was spending an arm and a leg on. Many craft stores are now selling PUL which made it even more convenient to make my own. I researched the process of making the diapers and developed many different patterns such as: sized, one size, all-in-one, pockets, prefold covers and many other designs. After some intense calculations I figured that making my own is less than half the cost of buying cloth diapers.
To wrap up this first post I want to hear from all you out there who want to save some money on cloth diapers. Do you want to know how to make your own or do you want to buy them for half the price of some of the other guys? I can help! I hope to hear from you all soon!
